FAQs
Vinyl is a radical of ethane that refers to many different ethylene-based compounds.
Yes they are two main types of vinyl which are adhesive and heat transfer. Each one has different categories, textures and chemical properties.
We sell both types of vinyl.
For garments we use heat transfer vinyl, to name a few pu (standard), pvc, flock, pearlescent, glitter, glow in the dark, etc.
Polyurethane (PU) heat transfer vinyls are the desired medium for t-shirt transfer graphics. These tend to be thinner and more stretchable so they feel like part of the garment. This soft “hand” is what makes them so perfect for apparel graphics especially for kids.
Poly vinyl chloride (PVC) materials are heat transfer vinyl that are generally thicker and easy to work with and its resistance to biological and chemical breakdowns.. Being thicker means they’re less flexible and don’t quite have as soft a hand as PU. PVC has a matte finish, shine free material it should mainly be used to decorate garments for adult wearers.
